How to compose and test an SMS?

Need help composing and testing your first SMS on Batch? Here are all the steps you need to follow.

Once your Sender IDs have been properly configured, you can compose, preview, and test your SMS.

Composing your SMS

First, go to your Batch Dashboard and go to Automations > Omnichannel > New automation to create a new SMS recurring or trigger automation, or go to Campaigns > Omnichannel > New campaign if you want to create a one-shot SMS campaign.

Once you have opened the message editor, you can start writing your message and preview the SMS character count in real-time. This allows you to manage the length of your message and optimize sending costs.

Testing your SMS message

Now that your messages are written and ready to captivate your readers, you can test how it looks on your device!

Click on the Send Test button and type your phone number making sure to include an area code πŸ‘‡

If you want to reach more than one phone number, don't forget to separate all of them with a comma!
